Harpy Crypto — 24/7 alt research

A deliberately quieter cadence than equities. ETF flows, on-chain signals, fear-greed extremes. Paper-first with real Kraken pricing.

Crypto doesn’t sleep, but that doesn’t mean your scanner needs to scream at it 24/7. Harpy Crypto runs every 30 minutes on Max+, every 2 hours on Max, and every 4 hours on Pro. The slower cadence isn’t a limitation — it’s a philosophical choice. The genuinely high-information events in crypto are hours apart, not minutes.

The research pass

Each cycle, the scanner re-reads the crypto skill doc, pulls the latest spot and perp prices for the top ~50 names from Kraken, checks the fear-greed index, examines ETF flow data if available, runs on-chain heuristics for BTC and ETH (exchange-netflow, stablecoin issuance, whale moves), and evaluates the thesis on each name it’s watching. Paper fills are priced from real Kraken order books; the sizing math respects Max-Concurrent and Max-Daily-Requests from your tier.

Paper by default

Crypto ships paper-first, and unlike Trade there’s no simple URL flip to go live. You paste Kraken API keys (with explicit order-creation permission) and the scanner checks the keys are valid; until both keys are present and valid, the module stays in paper mode even if every other signal is go. Live mode is opt-in and per-installer.

What it won’t do

  • It won’t trade meme coins below a market-cap floor. Liquidity risk isn’t worth the upside.
  • It won’t open leveraged positions.
  • It won’t fade a major catalyst — halvings, ETF approvals, SEC enforcement events, on-chain hacks — during the first 6 hours after the catalyst.
  • It won’t pyramid into a winning trade past 2 adds.

The strategy document is the strategy

The Crypto strategy document is plain English. It spells out the confidence floor, the sizing math, the rejection conditions, and the data-source hierarchy. Edit it, and the next cycle runs your version. We publish a recommended version with each release; yours may differ.
